Tara Hipp Guenthner

Tara, WebsiteTara’s habit for professional success was emphasized during her college years at the University of North Carolina with a golf scholarship and an enviable handicap. A fulfilling and extraordinarily prosperous career with The PGA of America soon followed.

Tara earned her place as the youngest Tournament Director on record. As director for the 1996 and 2000 PGA Championships, the 2004 Senior PGA and the 2008 Ryder Cup, Tara was able to combine her love of golf, enthusiasm for creative thinking and a flair for relationship building.

With imagination and energy, she managed a budget of over $50 million along with a staff responsible for all event and volunteer operations, spectator amenities, ticket sales, corporate hospitality sales and service and public relations.

Tara’s focus is leading Hipp Inspired, a full service event design and management consulting firm based in Louisville, Ky.  Her innate drive and spirit help Hipp Inspired provide event design services to clients throughout the United States. In addition to accommodating her client’s vision, Tara’s goal is to focus on creating original events that inspire fun, healthy living and a spirit of teamwork.

Tara lives in Louisville with her husband Mike, and their two young boys. When she has free time, Tara still enjoys spending time on the links, and hopes to one day regain her single-digit handicap.
